FAQ

Where can I park?

There isn’t a designated parking space on our church property, but we do have a circular driveaway you can use for pickup and drop off. We recommend parking in one of the three nearby council car parks which you can find on the map below.

Where is the church building?

We are located on the corner of Oliver and Lawrence Street in Freshwater.

The top story is the entrance to the church, and can be accessed from Lawrence Street.

The bottom story is the hall where we have morning tea/ supper after the service. The entrance to the downstairs hall is through the white picket fence.

Never been to a church before? Wondering what to expect?

Our Sunday services are when we joyfully gather together as a community. Although each week might be a bit different, each service is typically made up of singing, prayer and a Bible talk.

Most services have an informal feel and usually last for about 1.5 hours. Afterwards, you are welcome to stay around, say hello and join us for refreshments.

What should I wear?

We are a casual and laid back church community. Come as you are.

Is there wheelchair access?

Yes, both the top and bottom story of our building can be accessed via ramp. We also have an accessible toilet in the hall.

Is there a hearing Loop?

Yes, we have a hearing loop installed in the church building. If you still have trouble hearing, you can ask the person at the sound desk to turn the hearing loop up.

Will I be asked for a donation?

No. St Marks is funded by the generosity of its members. If you are visiting, or checking us out, please feel under no obligation to give.
