Find a group of people who will help you grow as a follower of Jesus.
At St Marks we believe that the Christian life is one best lived in community with others. A Growth Group is a gathering of people from St Marks that get together during the week to deepen our love for God and for one another.
Why belong to a Growth Group?
We belong to Growth Groups because we can’t be followers of Jesus by ourselves. We are made to be known by others and to experience God alongside friends.
These are smaller groups of people from church that meet during the week (some in homes or at church) to share our lives with each other, go deep in God’s word, and be honest in prayer. As a community shaped by the gospel, they are a place where we can laugh, cry, work and play together for the glory of Jesus.
Acts 2:42: They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
How to join a group?
Growth Groups are such an important part of life at St Marks. That’s why we ask everyone to go through Belonging Newcomers lunch before joining a group. We believe this is the best way you can get to know who we are, what we’re on about, before joining us on mission.
So, if you are following Jesus and new to St Marks, come to our next Belonging Lunch! Then you’ll hear more about how to join a Growth Group.
